The 2016 NFL Draft has come to an end and this year has been filled with great athletes. The 49ers first pick in the draft was DeForest Buckner from Oregon State University. This pick isn't surprising, because Chip Kelly use to coach for OSU and the team has plenty of gaps to fill for next season to be successful. The niners also traded up for another pick in the first round with the Kansas City Chiefs for another first round pick. Trent Baalke said, "He's an awfully good football player, excellent fit, high-character guy. Great working knowledge of him - simply our current coaches recruited him, know him well and know his family well. A guy that plays a high percentage of downs at the collegiate level.”
The 49ers also picked 3 cornerbacks, 3 offensive linemen, 1 defensive linemen, a quarterback, running back, and wide receiver. Hopefully, this years rookie and a new head coach will bring spark to the 49ers young team.
