Grease was performed live on January 31, 2016 on FOX. It's based on a televised adaptation of the musical movie made in 1978 which had John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. The broadway is based on the movie about a summer romance. High school students Danny and Sandy are unexpectedly reunited when she transfers to Rydell High. There Sandy must contend with cynical Rizzo and the Pink Ladies in attempt to win Danny's heart again.
Big Stars in this production included Vanessa Hudgens, Julianne Hough, Aaron Tveit, Keke Palmer, Jessie J. and many more!
The show had a live studio audience to fully incoporate the Broadway feeling but the show was avaiable to was on FOX.
The show on FOX got great ratings from there viewers saying the musical, choreography, and production was spot on and gave big stars an opporutunity to shine.
It was directed/made by Thomas Kail, Alex Rudzinski.
